MotoGP 2011 Qatar: Race Reviews

    • First race of the season is always special! Valentino on Ducati colors was not able to repeat his Yamaha 2004 performance (when he won his first Yamaha race), the competition level is very high and lots of young talent to beat this time. He finished seventh.
Now the race: Pedrosa took the lead at the start followed closely by Lorenzo and Stoner. The three will get into a great fight! After 12 laps, Stoner took the lead and never looked back. The two spaniards fought for second place with Lorenzo getting the best of Pedrosa. At the chequered flag, it was Stoner, Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Dovizioso, Simoncelli.
A bit dissappointing for Ben Spies (in his debut at the Yamaha Factory Team) finished sixth place.
